The Chicago Tribune reports that Chicago-based architects, Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill, have been selected to design a new tower in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. When complete, this new tower will soar to one kilometer in height, overtaking the Burj Khalifa (pictured at left) as the world’s tallest building.
