RJA/Phoenix lends a hand to the Salvation Army Community Youth Center
Posted Wed November 25 2009 in CommunityOn November 7, 2009 Jackie Mellen and Steve, Deb, Hannah and Ethan Sheldon of the Phoenix office, along with about 150 others, volunteered their time as a part of a community project at the Salvation Army Community Youth Center. The project completely transformed the 2 acre property and included laying 12000 square feet of sod, planting over 500 shrubs and trees, spreading 200 cubic yards of sand and gravel, and the construction of a volleyball court, community garden and tire labyrinth play area.
Each participating group designed and painted one of the approximately 100 tires that were a part of the tire labyrinth.
Thanks to Steve, Jackie and all the participants for making RJA a part of this great project!
