Building Operating Management magazine recently published two interesting articles on the topic of fire emergency and evacuation plans and why they are crucial to the safety of a building.

The first piece, titled :Facility Professionals Advised To Have Fire Emergency Plan in Place” talks about the role facility manager’s play in the safety of a building, how to make a plan for fire and life safety emergency situations and the importance of keeping the plan updated. These above article links are very useful to all of us. We must obey “Fire Safety Dos and Don’t s” and pay attention on “Fire Safety vs. Security”. I really appreciate to know these tips that you mentioned. I also agree with you and would like to add more to help all who are looking for fire investigators.

1. Install Smoke Detectors at your home and work places
2. Always be careful while cooking
3. Drop and roll: if fire catches your clothes then never run. STOP running and roll over to reduce the flame
4. Use safety guard for electric devices.
5. And always remember that a match box is always for adults.
6. Do not use elevators in fire affected building. Always use stairs.
